COVID-19 Resources and Information

Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Acts (CARES).  Inside the CARES Act it has allocations of $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed, known as the Paycheck Protection Program.  These loans will be 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses.  More importantly these loans my be forgiven if borrowers maintain their payroll during this economic crises or restore their payroll.  There will be more details released in the upcoming days and as we receive them we will push them out to all of our members.

“Find the Helpers”

The Gateway Grizzlies are looking to put together a few programs to help businesses during this difficult time.
Grizzlies Food Partners Program-
Every Tuesday and Thursday we will highlight a food partner on social media. We will drop off a stack of ticket vouchers to their location and promote on our social media that anyone who goes through their drive through or orders take out will receive two (2) free ticket vouchers.
Grizzlies Staffing Agency Program-
For companies that are currently hiring we would like to help them find candidates. We would like to use our social media to help link up potential new hires with companies that are still in need.
Any interested businesses should contact:

The O’Fallon Food Pantry is temporarily closed.  In response, 1UMC has opened their trailer for food donations. Hours of operation are:

Tuesday: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Thursday to Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – Noon

The pantry is in need of cold cereal, fruit cups, pop tarts, and canned foods consisting of: chicken, tuna, fruit, chili with beans, spaghetti, ravioli, soup, canned stew, ramen noodles, and peanut butter. They ask that you please not bring anything in a glass jar.

All you need to do is bring any donations you can to the church during our listed hours. We will have the trailer open, and a volunteer watching the trailer from their car. You just need to put your donation in the trailer and drive away. We want to keep our social distancing practices in place as much as possible.

We will be making our first delivery run to the pantry on Friday, and we plan to keep doing so every Friday for as long as this crisis is in place.

If you would be willing to help keep watch over the trailer from your car, or would be willing to make our delivery on Friday to the Belleville pantry, please contact Rob Stoelzle at 618-581-0224 or
