Scott Air Force Base is hosting a Fall Festival on October 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Scott Lake . Over 3,000 families attend this event.
Parents often want or need to elect dependent coverage for their young adult dependent children. Effective beginning June 1, 2009, all individual and group health insurance and HMO contracts must abide by the provisions of Public Act 95-0958, a new Illinois law (215 ILCS 356z.12) that gives parents with insurance policies that cover dependents the right to elect coverage for qualifying dependents up to age 26 and up to age 30 for military veteran dependents.
Basic facts about the new law are here.
If you plan to have any flyers, handouts, coupons or giveaways for this month’s Happy Landings spouse orientation at Scott Air Force Base, please get them to the Chamber office by Wednesday, July 29. If you have anything to go in McKendree’s New Student Packets, please contact Michelle Erschen no later than the same date.
